1. Two credits in Social Studies (three are recommended)
- Grade 9 Civics (1/2 credit)
- Grade 11 United States History (1 credit)
- Grade 12 American Government (1/2 credit)
- or Advanced Placement Government (1 credit)
2. Four credits in English (one credit each year)
- Grade 9 English 9 or Accelerated English 9 (1 credit)
- Grade 10 English 10 or Accelerated English 10 (1 credit)
- Grade 11 English 11 or Accelerated English 11 (1 credit)
- Grade 12 English 12 (1 credit) or Vocational English (1 credit)
- or AP English (1 credit)
3. Two credits in Mathematics (with three to four credits recommended)
4. Two credits in Science (three or more are recommended)
One credit in Biology I is required for all students except those students who are specially placed in a science class by school officials .
5. ½ credit in Computer Science or one full credit in a computer-related class
6. ½ credit in Physical Education, unless excused in writing by a doctor
7. ½ credit 9 th grade Health Education
8. Current as of school year 2005-2006: For graduation the four classes need the following credits each: Seniors -- 24 credits, Juniors-24 credits, Sophomores-24 credits, and Freshmen-24 credits.
9. Students must be enrolled at the West Iron County High School for at least the entire last semester of their senior year.
10. Students must attend high school for eight semesters and take a full schedule each term.
11. No mid-year awarding of diplomas or premature graduations will take place except under extraordinary circumstances as determined by the Board.
12. As of 2004, West Iron County School Board policies state that all West Iron County High School students will participate in MEAP testing.
