Notice is given hereby that the

West Iron County Public Schools

will accept bids from qualified contractors for construction of:

Building Addition for New WICS Administration Office Building
601 Baumgartner Way
Iron River, MI 49935

according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by:

Integrated Designs Inc.
1021 West Baraga Avenue
Marquette, MI 49855

Scope of work for the project includes, but not limited to, the construction of a new 2700 SF (Administration Office) building addition onto the existing Middle School / High School building. Work includes minor demolition and sitework to accommodate new building addition, masonry, concrete, Structural steel, roof system, exterior doors/windows, interior doors, door hardware, casework, flooring, ceiling systems, roller shades, secure entrance vestibule work, metal stud, insulation, gypsum board, metal wall panel, painting, & mechanical, electrical, plumbing work as noted on the plans.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project on Thursday, December 15th at 1:00 p.m. (CENTRAL TIME) at the district Middle School/High School, Room 18, 701 Baumgartner Way, Iron River, MI 49935, 906-265-9218.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of Kevin Schmutzler, Superintendent, West Iron County Public Schools, 601 Baumgartner Way, Iron River MI. 49935, until 1:00 p.m., C.S.T., Thursday, January 12, 2023. At that time, bids will be publicly opened. Bids received after the date and time specified will be returned to the bidder, unopened.

Bids will be taken on a lump sum basis as defined on the Bid Form. Bids shall be accompanied by bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount.

100% Surety Bonds for performance and payment of labor and materials are required. Bonds must be submitted on the forms provided. No alteration(s) to the form will be accepted.

Bid Documents will be available after 4:00 P.M. (EST) Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the IDI Online Plan Room. Log on to idiplanspace.com, where you can view and order plans for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularity in the bidding or the bidding process and accept the bid that is most advantageous to the Owner.
