April Staff Spotlight - Sara Gill

Hello! My name is Sara Gill. I am in my 4 th year teaching Kindergarten at Stambaugh Elementary and have been with the district for 9 years. I grew up in Iron County as a Wykon and graduated from West Iron in 1998. I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Lake Superior State University and am currently continuing my education. When I am not at school you can find me out at Young's waitressing.

I have been married to my husband, Ian, for 17 years and we have 3 amazing children together - Aly, Haiden, & Bryan. We feel very fortunate to be able to raise our children as Wykons and live close to our family in this wonderful community. I am a proud Wykon mom and love watching all Wykon sports. Go Wykons!

In my free time I like to volunteer whenever I can. I love snowmobiling in the winter, coaching soccer in the summer, kayaking, camping, listening to music, and spending as much time as I can with my family and friends. I feel very strongly that you should work hard to be the change you want to see in the world and I have found that teaching is a great way to do that! I love working with our littlest Wykons and am very proud to be a part of our amazing West Iron staff!
