Dear Wykon Parents & Staff,

We want to let you know that we will be closing school this afternoon at 12:30 pm due to a chemical odor detected near our science lab in the Middle & High School.  We will follow our normal dismissal procedures and bussing protocols.

If you need to make alternative pick up arrangements, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

The safety and security of your child is our top priority.  The air quality was checked and we have normal readings.  We are actively responding to the situation and collaborating with local fire, law enforcement, and our Iron County Emergency Manager.  We want our students out of the building while the Fire Dept. will be removing any items causing this issue.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you.  We anticipate reopening school tomorrow at the regular school hours.  If anything changes, we will let you know.
