Dear Families and Staff,

I am writing to make you aware that West Iron County Public Schools has been notified through OK2Say of a reported threat by one student towards another student. The student and parent of those involved have been notified, and the matter is under active investigation by law enforcement.  

There is no indication of an immediate threat to the safety of our schools. Out of an abundance of caution, there may be an increased law enforcement presence at our schools tomorrow. 

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our top priority. 

We encourage anyone who hears or sees anything concerning to notify a teacher, staff member, or another trusted adult right away. Thank you for your continued partnership in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
